Liesl McWhorter
I’m Liesl McWhorter, and I am an Atlanta native who has been seriously studying music for over twenty years. I first began my music studies on the violin at age six under Atlanta Symphony Orchestra retiree, Pat Vas Dias. After my involvement in several youth symphonies under Rebecca Stout, I continued my studies and received a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Agnes Scott. Due to Agnes Scott’s foundation in academic excellence and commitment to the arts, I was able to refine my technique and creativity under Dr. Qiao Chen Solomon. During these years, I achieved numerous awards, including the Sigma Alpha Iota Award and the Nora Belle Daniels Memorial Fund Award. Currently, I teach and perform in and around the Atlanta area. I have enjoyed performing with symphonies including the Augusta, Columbus, Albany, and Macon Symphony Orchestras. I have also performed and toured with acclaimed artists such as Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, Sarah McLachlan, and The New York Gilbert and Sullivan Players.

Sofia Becerra-Licha
I’m Sofia Becerra-Licha, class of ’04, and I am an Archivist at Berklee College of Music's Stan Getz Library. After graduating from Agnes Scott, I taught Spanish in a North Carolina private school for a year before moving to Boston where I earned a masters' degree in ethnomusicology from Harvard University. I then returned south to earn a masters in Archives and Records Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The job at Berklee took me back to Boston, where I have lived since 2012.
